| The Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University was founded in 1881. It was originally called Huishi Hospital, and it is a British missionary hospital. In 1973, Fujian Medical University was affiliated to the Second Affiliated Hospital. The hospital is one of the first four Grade A general hospitals in Fujian Province which passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Health. It is one of the main bases of medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and post-graduate education in Fujian Province. It is the authorized unit of doctor and master degree.
